O.M.F.
O.M.F. – oleodinamica meccanica Fava – was founded in 1976 in Modena, the heart of the Motor Valley and the mechanical engineering industry, thanks to the expertise and passion of its founder partner Fava Franco for the oleo-dynamic sector, supported from the beginning by his wife Anna and son Claudio.
With an offtake partner, the firm began producing radial piston hydraulic motors, custom epicyclic gear trains, differential axles and gear boxes for self-propelling machinery for the building industry.
At the beginning of the 90s, following the trends of the sector, most of the output shifted towards the production of mechanical parts for third parties by employing CNC machines, with a special attention to limited series and in many different sectors.
At present O.M.F. takes part in manufacturing components for: epicyclic gear trains, custom differential axles, machinery for the production of glass, plastic and aluminium both man-operated and computer-controlled, prototypes and limited series for the mechanical, oleo-dynamic and tyre industry.
Consolidating its characteristics of a family-run business, the three grandchildren take part in the administration, production and testing. The firm also employs highly skilled personnel, carefully selected over many years.
WHAT WE OFFER
Our firm offers high-precision manufacturing details from die-cast or solid aluminium, cast iron, steel, stainless steel, bronze, PVC and many other materials.
Thanks to a wide range of machinery and a flexible production system, we can provide ideal solutions for our customers in a short period of time.
The know-how acquired over the years through designing and manufacturing specialised machinery allowed us to refine our techniques even for complex die casting.
We also provide a wide selection of technical support schemes, such as assisting our customers in choosing the modelling of cast or moulded parts, selecting materials, improving production based on the required quantity and quality, accurate checks and on-time delivery.
At the end of the production cycle we manage – if required – painting, heat treatment for finishing or protection and fitting of equipment.
